Abstract:
To precisely specify a hot water surface level to perform temperature measurement at a prescribed immersion depth based on the hot water surface level.SOLUTION: A molten steel temperature measurement method for measuring temperature of molten steel in a molten steel ladle 100 comprises the steps of: lowering a temperature measurement probe 3 toward a hot water surface MS of molten steel by a probe lifting and lowering device 7; monitoring a drive current value of the probe lifting and lowering device 7 for lowering the temperature measurement probe 3; determining whether an amount of change in the drive current value is a prescribed first threshold value or larger; and determining that the temperature measurement probe 3 reaches the hot water surface MS when the amount of change is the first threshold value or larger to measure temperature of the molten steel by the temperature measurement probe 3 by lowering the temperature measurement probe 3 up to a prescribed immersion depth with a height of the temperature measurement probe 3 being a standard.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
