Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molybdenum crucible having a superior high temperature strength in which crystal of applied material is not colored when material of high melting point is melted even under a condition of super-high temperature or some melted applied materials are not melted into a grain boundary of the crucible raw material and further crystal grain of the crucible raw material is not changed into ultra large-sized one.
SOLUTION: This molybdenum crucible 1 is, in view of its outer appearance, normally similar to a large-sized crucible. This is formed as a cylindrical container having a filling space defined with an inner diameter &phiv filled with applied material when the high melting point material is melted. This container has an edge end 1a, a barrel section 1b, a bottom section 1e and a corner section 1c. However, this molybdenum crucible 1 contains 1 to 5 [wt.%] of tungsten and at the same time balance containing non-avoidable impurities is comprised of raw material of molybdenum, wherein a density is 9.9 [g/cm3] or more and a grain diameter of crystal grain of molybdenum of the crucible raw material substance is 15mm or less.
