PURPOSE: To read the rotational frequency and load condition of an engine on one display by displaying the relation between detected values of the engine speed and load condition of the engine on the display on orthogonal coordinate basis.
CONSTITUTION: The detected values of an engine speed sensor 9 and a boost pressure sensor 10 are converted by converters 11 and 12 into digital values, which are inputted to an arithmetic device 13 to calculate X and Y coordinate of a display point from said data, thereby storing pieces of still picture information on various operation curves, operation areas, etc., in a picture memory 14. Those pieces of picture information are read by the arithmetic device 13 and the still picture of the display point is sent out by being replaced by picture information on the display point read out of another memory to display the relation between the engine speed and engine boost pressure on a cathode-ray tube 19 on X and Y coordinate basis through an interface control circuit 16, brightness modulating circuit 17, and X and Y polarizing circuit 18, thus reading both values at the same time.
