To provide a monitor device which is capable of specifying a person intercepting a visibility of the monitor device and his criminal act, from a monitor image by restoring the visibility to continue image pickup of the monitor image regardless of visibility interception on a housing window member of the monitor device.
A monitor device 1 includes an imaging part 2 for imaging the monitor image, a housing window member 4 for protecting a front face of the imaging part 2, an interception detection part for detecting visibility interception on the housing window member 4, and a removal part 5 for moving the housing window member 4. When visibility interception on the housing window member 4 is detected by the interception detection part 7, the housing window member 4 is moved from the front face of the imaging part 2.
