NEW MATERIAL:A monoclonal antibody recognizing an antigen existing in a parasite belonging to Taeniidae family or Dibothriocephalidae family, Cestoidea class or a circulation antigen existing in the serum of a host of said parasite.
USE: Agent for differential diagnosis of parasitic disease such as cysticerosis.
PREPARATION: For example, a mammal such as mouse is immunized by using a parasite such as Cysticercus cellulosae or serum of host infected with parasite as an antigen. B-cell collected from the spleen of the immunized mammal is mixed with a myeloma cell to effect cell-fushion. The produced hybridoma is cultured in a medium, screened to collect a clone reactive with parasite antigen and cloned e.g. by limit dilution method to obtain a monoclonized hybridoma. The objective monoclonal antibody can be produced by culturing the monoclonized hybridoma and separating the product from the cultured liquid.
