Abstract:
To provide a monomer composition to obtain plastic optical materials which becomes hardly yellowish and has excellent heat resistance, impact resistance and dye-affinity, and also to provide a plastic optical material and a lens prepared from the same.
The monomer composition for plastic optical materials contains, to 100 pts.wt. of a polymerization component consisting of a diallyl compound as a main component, 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a dialkyl peroxydicarbonate type of a radical polymerization primer containing propyl-n-propyl peroxydicarbonate as an essential ingredient. The plastic optical material is prepared by curing the above monomer composition. The lens is prepared by processing the above optical material.
