Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mooring chain that enables direct and accurate measurement of tension acting on the chain and that can secure predetermined ultimate strength, and a tension measuring device.SOLUTION: An approximately θ-shaped mooring chain 10, in which an intermediate part of an annular member 12 is connected by a central connecting material 14, includes a load cell 16 incorporated in the central connecting material 14. The mooring chain 10 can measure a compressive axial force C acting on the load cell 16 and measure tension T acting on the annular member 12 on the basis of the measured compressive axial force C.
