Title:
MOTION-COMPENSATED VIDEO SIGNAL PROCESSING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3469626
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compensate losses of image information which becomes obvious, when there is the vertical motion of image by detecting whether or not the level of correlation between blocks to be tested indicated by a zero motion vector exceeds a prescribed correlation threshold value and detecting whether the pixel of output image exists at a dynamic part or at a static part.
CONSTITUTION: For a zero motion vector, an SAD value (generated by a block collation comparator 470 inside a processing unit 400) is supplied to a comparator 500 and compared with a preset threshold value 510 at this comparator. When the SAD value related to the zero motion vector is more than the threshold value 510, the comparator 500 sets a motion flag 520, showing the presence of motion in the image. When the SAD value regarding the zero motion vector is less than the threshold value 510, the motion flag 520 is not set but rather the current output pixel practically existing at the static part of image is shown.
