Abstract:
To simply and quickly detect a moving body existing around a vehicle.SOLUTION: A moving body detection apparatus includes: an image acquisition unit which acquires image data including a plurality of frames representing surroundings of a mobile body, the image data being captured in time series by a camera mounted on the mobile body; a difference calculation unit which calculates a difference between the frames, and binarizes the difference into a first value and a second value, to calculate a difference image between the frames; a grid extraction unit which extracts, out of multiple grids set in the difference image, a grid in which density of pixels of the first value is equal to or higher than a first threshold; and a moving body detection unit which detects, as a moving body, the extracted grid. The multiple grids are set so that the grids located far from the camera have small pixel size.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
