Abstract:
To provide an electric assistant bicycle in which chains are simply inspected for maintenace without raising cost.
A first chain 46 and a second chain 49 are arranged on the same side against a body frame 10, and a chain tension detecting mechanism 70 detecting tension of the first chain 46 is arranged between a crankshaft 41 and a compound force shaft 43. Hereby the first chain 46 and the second chain 49 are arranged on the same side against the vehicle body, and hence maintenace inspection of the chains can be executed only one side.
