To provide a motor control device that can exactly detect the generation of an overcurrent without causing a large power loss.
The motor control device comprises: an H bridge circuit 1 that is arranged between a DC power supply VB and the ground, and switches the continuity and the stop of a current; a gate control circuit 2 that outputs a control signal for the continuity and the stop of each MOS-FET (T1) to (T4) possessed by the H bridge circuit 1; an MOS-FET (T5) that is arranged between the DC power supply VB and the ground, and blocks a current flowing to the DC power supply VB side from the ground side; and a diode D1 that is arranged at a region where a coefficient of thermal conductivity is high between the MOS-FET (T5) and the diode, and has almost the same temperature as that of the MOS-FET (T5). The motor control circuit is also characterized by detecting a voltage generated at an anode of the diode D1 on the basis of the detected voltage, and outputting the control signal for the continuity and the stop of each MOS-FET (T1) to (T4) that constitute the H bridge circuit 1.
