To obtain a motor drive control circuit which is free from malfunctioning and can control the drive of the motor securely.

A lead relay L whose drive coil LC is excited by a locking current generated when a motor M is locked and whose lead switch LS is turned on/off by the excited drive coil LC, and a relay circuit Re whose exciting coil RC is demagnetized when the lead switch LS is turned on/off and whose movable contact RS is turned off by the demagnetization of the exciting coil RC to cut off current application to the motor M, are provided. As a result, the locking state of the motor M is detected by the lead relay L and the current application to the motor M is cut off by the relay circuit Re in accordance with the detection of the lead relay L. Therefore, the locking state of the motor M can be judged clearly without variation in comparison with the judgement in the case of current control using electronic components, so that the drive of the motor M can be controlled securely without malfunctioning.
