To provide a motor excellent in a torque and a weight balance and optimally miniaturized.
The motor is provided with a magnetic pole means in which permanent magnetic pole rows have a plurality of permanent magnetic pole elements alternately having opposite polarity and face a plurality of coil rows alternately excited to opposite polarity, and constituted so as to move the permanent magnetic pole rows by a suction and a reaction between the coils and the permanent poles. The motor is also provided with a drive circuit means for supplying an excitation signal to the coil rows, and a sensor for detecting positions of the permanent magnetic pole rows. An output from the sensor is directly fed back to the drive circuit means. The drive circuit is constituted so as to generate the excitation signal based on a feedback signal. The problem that the weight of the conventional motor is large in comparison with the generated torque and a size of the motor becomes large when the generated torque becomes large, is overcome.
