Abstract:
To make it possible to manually turn a motor without exciting the motor even during an emergency stop.SOLUTION: A motor drive device includes: multiphase wiring for supplying a multiphase current; a DB (dynamic brake) circuit for stopping a motor by short-circuiting between phases of the multiphase wiring by a variable resistor; and a DB resistance value change command generator for changing a resistance value of the variable resistor when a command to manually move the motor is received from a user during operation of the DB circuit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
