PURPOSE: To positively prevent descent of a load carrier at the time of an elevating power part being damage so as to improve safety by disposing a shaft, provided with spiral grooves inclined in the opposite directions from the axial center, near the center of the load carrier, and rotating the shaft by external power to elevate the load carrier through bendable arms.
CONSTITUTION: When an elevating motor 10 is driven, power is transmitted to an elevating shaft 9 so as to be rotated. The elevating shaft 9 has spiral grooves formed in the state of being inclined in the opposite directions symmetrically from the center of the shaft 9, and sliders 11 are screwed with the respective grooves, so that the sliders 11 are moved in the laterally symmetric state by the rotation of the elevating shaft 9. This power in the thrust direction is transmitted to upper and lower arms 8a, 8b connected in a bendable state, and the power in the thrust direction is converted into radial power by these arms to elevate a load carrier 2. A complicated hydraulic jack and a hydraulic pump can thereby be dispensed with, and safety at the time of failure can be ensured.
