Abstract:
A system and method of controlling a motor-driven washing machine, the method comprising the steps of (S933) determining whether a first current speed of a motor (912) is greater than a first predetermined speed (W1) if a motor-interruption of the motor (912) is generated during a spin cycle, the motor (912) rotating a washing tub containing a load of clothes to be dehydrated during the spin cycle, and (S934) braking the motor (912) in motion by shorting power terminals of the motor (912) for a first predetermined period if the first current speed is greater than the first predetermined speed (W1).
