To provide a motor driver for a brake which simplifies a circuit while having regenerating circuit for driving and stopping a motor, and drives the motor by a PWM control.
The motor driver for the brake includes a first switching element provided at the upstream side of the motor, a second switching element provided in parallel with the motor, and a drive circuit for generating a PWM signal. In the motor driver for the brake, the second switching element has a diode for allowing only a current to the upstream side in parallel. When the motor is driven, the drive circuit drives the first switching element according to the PWM signal. When the motor is stopped, the drive circuit has a regenerative control circuit which turns off the first switching element and sets the second switching element to on-duty 100%.
