Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and low-cost motor drive device capable of accurately predicting the service life of a relay for a dynamic brake circuit.SOLUTION: The motor drive device 1 comprises: a DB current calculation unit 11 for calculating a DB current of a DB circuit 21, on the basis of a motor rotation speed and an intrinsic parameter of a motor 2 and the DB circuit 21; a Joule heat calculation unit 12 for calculating Joule heat by the DB current during a DB period, on the basis of the DB current calculated by the DB current calculation unit 11; a storage unit 13 for storing a table in which the relationship between the DB current at the start of DB and the Joule heat due to the arc generated in the relay 32 in accordance with the DB current at the start of the DB is defined; an integration unit 14 for integrating, every time DB is executed, Joule heat due to the arc acquired as corresponding to the DB current calculated by the DB current calculation unit 11 at the start of the DB, Joule heat due to the DB current during the DB period, or the summed value thereof; and a comparison unit 15 for outputting a comparison result between the integrated value and a predetermined reference value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
