Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly lubricate a motor portion and a decelerator portion in starting a rotary pump, even in stopping for a long time under a cold environment.SOLUTION: In an in-wheel motor driving device including a motor portion A, a decelerator portion B, a bearing portion C for a wheel, a casing 22 accommodating the motor portion A and the decelerator portion B, and a lubrication mechanism supplying a lubricant to the motor portion A and the decelerator portion B by a rotary pump 56, the lubrication mechanism is disposed on a storage region of the lubricant in the casing 22, and includes a latent heat storage body 75 accommodating a latent heat storage material 73 in an exterior member 74, and impact shock application means 76 disposed near the latent heat storage body 75, and applying impact shock to the latent heat storage material 73 in the exterior member 74.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
