Abstract:
PURPOSE:To adjust the floating quantity of a polygon mirror by providing a bearing with a circulation path for circulating a lubricating liquid in the thrust direction of a shaft, and providing a control part which protrudes into the circulation path to adjust the flow rate of the lubricating liquid. CONSTITUTION:When a driving current flows to a coil 1, torque is generated through the operation with a magnet 10 and the lubricating oil is forced toward a plate 5 through the rotation of a one-directional groove provided on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft simultaneously with said rotation to pass through the hole 2d of an adjusting plate 2e, move up through a circulation path 2c at the side part of bearing metal 2a, and flow to the groove part of the shaft 1a again through an upper circulation path 2b, thus circulating. Lubricating oil positioned in a slight gap formed with the shaft 1a receives pressure to bear without contacting the shaft 1a nor metal 2a, the plate 5 and a housing 7b are held leaving the minimum limit gap where the plate 5 can move up and down smoothly, to move the plate 5 up or down according to whether a screw 6 is clamped or unclamped, and a pin 4 fixed to the plate 5 move integrally and associatively with said operation, thereby opening and closing the hole 2d of the adjusting plate 2e.
