To provide a motor for a projector which is miniaturized while securing sufficient driving torque.
The motor for the projector includes a rotor main body 48 on which a color filter 34 is mounted for the projector to project image information, a rotor magnet 62 mounted on the rotor main body 48, and a stator 66 arranged outside the rotor magnet 62 in a radial direction. The stator 66 has a plurality of teeth parts 72a to 72f arranged in a prescribed angle region in a circumferential direction at intervals. Coils 74a to 74f are wound around the teeth parts 72a to 72f, respectively. A passage space 78 is formed outside the prescribed angle region and outwardly in a radial direction of the rotor magnet 62, and light that passes through the color filter 34, passes through the passage space 78.
