To provide a motor for which a sufficient cooling effect can be obtained.
To the clearance 114 between a stator 92 arranged on the outer peripheral side of a rotor 94 and a housing 90 in a motor 88, cooling oil is supplied from a cooling oil supplying port 118 which is made through the housing 90 above the left end section of the stator 92 so that the port 119 may be opened in the axial direction of the stator 92. Since the cooling oil is supplied along the axial direction of the stator 92, the oil spreads on the outer peripheral surface 92b of the stator from the left and of the stator 92 in the axial direction of the stator 92 which is coincident with the supplying direction of the oil and, at the same time, flows down along the surface 92b by the action of the gravity. Consequently, the oil 118 spreads over the whole outer peripheral surface 92b in the clearance 114. Therefore, a sufficient cooling effect can be obtained for the motor 88.
