Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the security of sufficient contact between a photocatalyst and fluid to be treated by a method in which the photocatalyst is stuck to a prescribed position of a movable body and irradiated with light in a part of the transfer route of the movable body by a light source.
SOLUTION: A carrier of a movable body such as calcium silicate unglazed balls in which a photocatalyst 4 is stuck to the surface is set in a treatment apparatus main body casing 1. The carrier 3 is collected in a hopper installed below an induction tube 2, and the tube 2 is elevated by water discharged form a nozzle 7, and the carrier 3 discharged upward from the tube 2 is set up at a position which can be lifted close to a water surface. In this state, the photocatalyst 4 is irradiated with direct light from a light source passing through light transmitting glass 11 and reflected light from a reflecting mirror 12. In this way, it is possible to secure enough contact between the photocatalyst 4 and fluid to be treated.
