Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting ring expansion device which can surely correspond to variations in the dimensions of diameters of a mounting hole of manhole and pipe joint or variations in the same dimension in the fabrication and which can be easily mounted.
SOLUTION: The mounting ring expansion device 30 includes a beam 31, a first and second legs 33, 34 which are swingably suspended from the beam 31 longitudinally along it through a first and second axes respectively, a slide screw thread 32 which extends from one end of the beam 31 toward the center of the second axis to allow the leg 34 to slide along a leg slide span SL, an expanded screw thread 35 which extends through between a first supporting axis of the leg 33 and a second supporting axis 43 of the leg 34 in parallel to the thread 32 to swing and expand the leg 34 along a leg swinging span SW, and a first and second engaging claws 33a, 34a provided at the lower ends of the legs 33, 34 respectively. Thus a wide mounting ring expansion span EX can be easily provided.
