To easily mount a skin with good appearance and simplify the structure of an armrest in mounting structure of an arm rest where the armrest covered with the skin is mounted to an interior panel.
An upper side swelling part 17 is formed on a door trim 1. A stepped part 29 is formed on the upper side swelling part 17 with an approximately horizontal shelf part 25 and a vertically extended insertion part 27. An engagement projection 27a is formed at the insertion part 27. An engagement rib 51 which has a distance relative to an inside wall 41 and extends downward is formed on the back surface of the upper wall 39 of the armrest body 35. A fitting hole 51b to which the engagement projection 27a fits is formed in an engagement rib 51. The engagement projection 27a is fitted to the fitting hole 51b by press-fitting the insertion part 27 between a terminal 37a of the skin 37 covering the inside wall 41 of the armrest body 35 and the engagement rib 51b, and the armrest 3 is mounted to a door trim 1 by abutting the terminal part 37a of the skin 37 to the shelf part 25 as well as by fitting the engagement projection 27a to the engagement hole 51b.
