Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the mounting structure of the filter part of a fuel filter to facilitate an assembly work and improve reliability, in a fuel filter being of a type wherein a fuel pump and a fuel filter are arranged in a fuel tank.
SOLUTION: A filter part 14A coupled to a fuel pump 12 disposed in a fuel tank 11 and nipped between upper and lower end plates 16 and 17 is arranged in a case 14B, a cap 14C is welded to the case 14B. In a so formed fuel filter 14, the flanges 16A are arranged at the two end parts of the upper end plate 16. The flange part 16A is placed on a stepped part 19 formed at the case 14B, A cylinder part 18 is arranged at the end plate 16, and the lower end of the cylindrical part 18 is inclined in a taper-form manner.
