Title:
MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR FUEL TANK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3721720
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a fuel tank by arranging a plate member, which prevents interference between the fuel tank and a bracket in case of a vehicle collision, between the bracket supporting the front part, of the fuel tank and the fuel tank when the fuel tank is installed to a frame in a vehicle.
SOLUTION: In a vehicle frame, a plurality of cross members are arranged between side members arranged parallelly to each other. In two brackets 32 protruded backward from the cross members, a bolt is screwed to a nut 35 welded to the upper face of the each bracket 32 so that a seam flange 55 in the front end part of a fuel tank 50 is fixed. A first flange part 63 and a second flange part 64 opposed to each other at an interval are arranged between a supporting plate member 60, which is arranged between the two brackets 32, and a front wall part 56 in the fuel tank 50. Using flange parts 62 formed on both side parts of the plate member 60, the plate member 60 is welded to inside wall faces 34 of the two brackets 32.
