Abstract:

To provide an installation structure of a rotation detector for an electric motor that can easily perform electric zero-point adjustment work, is in no risk of the deterioration of the rotation detector caused by lubricant oil, and can reduce noise interference to the rotation detector.

The installation structure of the rotation detector for the electric motor is constituted such that: the electric motor 1 and a reduction gear 13 are arranged in series on the same axis; and the rotation detector 23 that detects the rotation position of a rotor shaft 9 is installed to the co-axial type electric motor 1 wherein an output shaft 15 that transmits power output from a differential gear 14 equipped to the reduction gear 13 to wheels penetrates the inside of the rotor shaft 9 of the electric motor 1. In the invention, the rotation detector 23 is arranged at a place outside a bearing 11 for supporting the rotor shaft 9 that is the axial end side of the rotor shaft 9, and a sealing member 22 for sealing the lubricant oil that flows in a space 18 formed between the external periphery of the output shaft and the internal periphery of the rotor shaft is arranged at a place further outside the rotation detector 23 that is the outside of the bearing 11.
