To provide a mounting structure for a toilet seat and/or a toilet seat lid, which prevents a user's fingers from being pinched due to disconnection of the toilet seat from a main body case, not only because a rotating shaft for coupling the toilet seat is uncoupled from a hinge hole but also because an attachment/detachment regulating protrusion and a disconnection preventing guide are disengaged from each other, when his/her fingers are caught in a gap between the back end of the toilet seat and the main body case.
The rotating shaft 3 for coupling the toilet seat 4 is provided protrusively in a side part of the main body case 1 which is mounted in the rear of a toilet stool; the protrusion 6a for regulating the attachment/detachment of the toilet seat 4 is provided around the rotating shaft 3; a cross section of the protrusion 6a is formed in a non-circular shape in which a width on one side is greater than a width on other side; a hinge hole 26, which is coupled to the rotating shaft 3, is provided in a side part in the rear of the toilet seat 4; the disconnection-of-toilet-seat preventing guide 11A having an approximately C-shaped cross section is provided around the hinge hole 26; and the protrusion 6a and the guide 11A are formed so that the toilet seat 4 can be attached/detached at an angle which greatly narrows the gap between a front end of the case 1 and the back end of the toilet seat 4. Such a mechanism can also be used for the mounting structure for the toilet seat lid.
