Title:
MOUTHPIECE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001046401
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve an erosion preventing effect by thermally molding a nonmoven fabric cloth having latent ductility to form a mouthpiece for protecting a tongue or a lip so that a sports player of rugby or boxing does not bite off the tongue or the lip.

Fiber web containing inductile thermoplastic short latent ductility is formed and the inductile thermoplastic short fibers are coupled to provide a nonwoven fabric cloth while the latent ductility of these thermoplastic short fibers is not damaged. The latent ductility is held in the inductile thermoplastic short fibers for constructing this nonwoven fabric cloth, and this latent ductility is used to thermally mold the cloth in a desired mouthpiece shape, and thereby a having a high erosion preventing effect is provided. As the inductile thermoplastic short fiber, inductile polyester short fiber or inductile polyamide short fiber is used. The fiber web contains hydrophilic fiber, and this hydrophilic fiber preferably contains fiber having ion exchange ability and/or fiber having pH buffering ability.
