PURPOSE: To provide an electric sign display device which is capable of displaying information even during traveling, allows changing of display contents and improves an advertisement effect.

CONSTITUTION: This display device has an LED display 1 which is disposed with LEDs 7 and on which data is displayed, a battery 2 which supplies a power source to this LED display 1, a display control microcomputer 4 which calculates the current value to be supplied to the LED display 1 when the number of the lighting of the LEDs 7 at the time of data display in the stopping state of a vehicle is smallest and a current limiting circuit 3 which limits the supply current to be supplied to the LED display 1 to the min. current value calculated by the display control microcomputer 4 during traveling.
