Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a movement adaptive type Y/C separating filter capable of reproducing an image having high resolution and reduced at the deterioration of picture quality in the case of converting a static image to a moving image or in the reverse case.
CONSTITUTION: In an inter-frame Y/C separating filter, correlation between plural fields or plural frames is detected when a movement detecting circuit 1080 detects a moving image, any one of plural inter-field processing is selected in accordance with the size of the correlation, correlation in a field is detected, processing for adaptively switching three kinds of intra-field processing is executed in accordance with the size of the intra-field correlation, and an intra-frame Y/C separation Y signal and an intra-frame Y/C separation C signal are outputted.
