PURPOSE: To provide a movement for an indicating instrument in which the supporting rigidity of a rotor and a needle shaft to a radial load is enhanced and the axial length of a bearing for the shaft to be formed at a movement case can be shortened.
CONSTITUTION: A bearing 1c formed of a through hole is formed at an end wall of an upper case 1a, and a needle shaft 2 formed at a lower end with a disclike base 2a is engaged from below with the bearing 1c. A motor 3 is contained at the same axis with that of the shaft 2 in a lower case lb. An extended part 6a is formed at an upper end of a rotor shaft 6 of the motor 3, a hole 2c is also formed at a center of the base 2a of the shaft 2, and the part 5a of the shaft 6 is rotatably engaged with the hole 2c of the shaft 2 substantially along the entire length.
