Abstract:
PURPOSE: To measure the weight of an electrode rod as precisely as possible at a low cost without increasing the structural height of a remelting furnace when a pressure vessel is lifted from a crucible by improving the remelting furnace comprising the crucible, the pressure vessel mounted on the crucible and sealed to an exterior and the electrode rod guided into the crucible.
CONSTITUTION: A lifting device 18 is supported on a weighing platform 21 so that a lower platform 9 can be raised. A pressure vessel 3 is connected to the lower platform 9 by connecting members for maintaining a clearance relative to the lower platform when the pressure vessel 3 is mounted on a crucible 2.
