When a user accesses the contents server 11 and selects a desired movie content, the movie distribution system 1 distributes the selected movie content to the user terminal. After the start of rental of the new movie, the movie distribution system 1 acts on rental reservation and preview distribution of a video management system 3 of a video rental company on behalf of the video rental company to allow the user terminal 1 to easily make rental reservation of the movie video.
