Title:
MOVING SIDEWALK CAPABLE OF SPEED CHANGE AND RECIPROCATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0820483
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compose a moving sidewalk capable of speed change and reciprocation by forming base plates to be expanded or contracted freely, setting the base plates to be freely connected to/disconnected from each other, and carrying them by use of belt conveyors, etc.

CONSTITUTION: Low speed belt conveyors 5, roller conveyors 7, and high speed belt conveyors 2 are connected rectilinearly to dispose two parallel conveyors, and both ends of these are connected to each other by circular rail lines 17. Base plates 1 which are capable of expansion/contraction advance as they are laminated by throw speed conveyor 5 at an entrance part while they are electromagnetically connected to each other, and as their tip gets off the roller conveyor 7 to be set on the high speed belt conveyor 2, an attachment 9 is hooked on the expansion/contraction base plate 3", when the base plates 1 are expanded to become two and three plates to advance. Their electromagnetic connection is released around an exit, where they are quickly fed on the circular rails 17 to advance to a boarding port of a return passage as they are laminated. In the case of a single line, they rotate from an end of the low speed conveyor 5 around a large pulley 10 for return to advance on a return conveyor 11 toward a boarding port.
