Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a moving type fire extinguishing device capable of efficiently extinguishing fire with a small volume of water by moving to the origin of the fire.
CONSTITUTION: A turning member 18 is turnably mounted at the central part of a ceiling part 12 of a multipurpose dome 10. The turning member 18 is turned by intermeshing of a pinion 32 driven by a turning motor and a rack 34. A transfer device 40 having a discharge nozzle 54 moves along the turning member 18 and the water sucked from a water tank 84 by a fire extinguishing pump 80 is fed to the discharge nozzle 54. The turning member 18 is turned and further, a transfer device 40 is moved, by which the discharge nozzle 54 is moved to right above the origin of the fire and the water is discharged toward the origin of the fire from above in case the fire breaks out. The water is not horizontally splashed but is discharged from above in the state of bringing the discharge nozzle 54 close to the origin of the fire in such a manner and, therefore, the fire is efficiently extinguished by the small-sized extinguishing device.
