Abstract:
To provide a muco-adhesive polymer allowing targeted introduction of active materials to a mucous membrane for achieving stable supply in a target site.
The muco-adhesive polymer comprises: less than 10 different monomers selected from a copolymer of thiolated acrylic acid and divinyl glycol, a thiolated chitosan, a thiolated sodium carboxymethylcellulose, a thiolated sodium alginate, a thiolated sodium hydroxypropyl cellulose, a thiolated hyaluronic acid, a thiolated pectin and thiolated polymer derivatives of them; and at least one thiol group not located at the terminus.
