PURPOSE: To facilitate the assembling of a multistage compressor and further enable the reduction in the starting torque thereof by providing vane springs in one of plural compression elements and introducing the internal pressure in a closed vessel to the back of the vane of the other compression element.
CONSTITUTION: In a closed vessel 1, an electric motor 2 and two compression elements 3, 4 are arranged. In the back of the vane 14 of a compression element 3 on one side of two compression elements 3 and 4, vane springs 26 are arranged, and, to the back of the vane 15 of the compression element 4 on the other side, the discharge pressure in the internal space of the closed vessel 1 is introduced via a passage 9b instead of providing vane springs. Thus, in starting, driving torque is hardly required for the compression element 4 on one side until the discharge pressure in the internal space of the closed vessel is raised, enabling the reduction in the starting torque as a multistage compressor, and further the number of vane springs can be reduced, and the assembling of a multistage compressor can be facilitated.
