The multi-head laser carving machine with two exposure heads 15, 16 is provided with a beam splitter 3 belonging to the first exposure head 15 and a tilting mirror belonging to the second exposure head 16. Each exposure head 6, 7 operates linked with a high-speed optical switch. Each switch is driven independently by a controller 9. This enables a simultaneous and an independent carving in a machining areas F1, F2 linked with each exposure head 15, 16. The high-speed switch is in the form of a polarizing prism that turns in a converged beam for the purpose of interrupting it.
