A motor 100 is provided with a circular superconductive coil 121 that is arranged in such a way as to surround the outside circumferential surface of an armature 110 and a plurality of shielding plates 122, 122, etc. that are arranged alternately at both sides along the winding direction of the superconductive coil 121. By partially shielding magnetic field generated by the superconductive coil 121 with a plurality of the shielding plates 122, 122, etc, a plurality of magnetic poles are generated along the winding direction of the superconductive coil 121. Therefore, this structure makes it possible to easily generate a plurality of magnetic poles using the superconductive coil 121.
