To at once grind a great amount of soybean, buckwheat or the like without impairing flavor by a method wherein stone plates or ceramics plates wherein a groove is cut are superimposed on each other vertically, and the soybean, buckwheat or the like are ground down by both faces of such the plates.
Up and down both faces of stone plate or ceramics mill plates 1, 2 are dressed, and respective thin sheets 1, 2 are fixed to ceramics or stainless steel made discs 4, 5 wherein a hole is bored. Vertical combination of fixed millstones 1, 2 is made one set, and a superimposition of a plurality of sets is passed through a central shaft 15. One side of discs of each set is fixed to a fixing shaft 6 by using a binding metal 7. Besides, the other side disk is rotated by mating a toothed wheel part formed around that with a spure wheel 10 on a driving shaft 11. Then, between the millplate on the disc to be rotated and the millplate in a staionary state, material to be ground such as soybean or the like successively supplied to downward from upside by a supply hopper 3 is made ground, and the ground up material to be ground is recovered in a saucer 17.
