Abstract:
To achieve single-pulse drive capable of suppressing generation of a high harmonic wave and reducing voltage distortion.SOLUTION: A control device for a multistage converter according to an embodiment comprises: a modulation rate calculation unit 21 that calculates a modulation rate of a multistage converter 1; a phase shift amount generation unit 22 that generates a phase shift amount of a gate signal that drives an upper arm S1 of a positive leg LP and an upper arm S3 of a negative leg LN of each unit converter 11-14 for a number of stages of the unit converters 11-14, wherein the phase shift amount corresponds to the modulation rate; and gate signal generation unit 23 that generates first gate signals of the number of stages and a second gate signal in each of which an on-pulse width and an off-pulse width are the same as each other, wherein each first gate signal has a center of the on-pulse width that is progressed from a phase of an output voltage command by the phase shift amount, and the second gate signal has a center of the off-pulse width that is delayed from the phase of the output voltage command by the phase shift amount, and that assigns the first gate signals to the upper arms S1 of the positive legs LP of the unit converters 11-14, and assigns the second gate signal to the upper arms S3 of the negative legs LN of the unit converters 11-14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
