Abstract:

PURPOSE: To automatically load multiple sutures with needles in a package by arranging a tray and a cover to house the sutures having needles, housing the sutures in an outer peripheral groove of the tray, and preventing the suture from lifting up out of the groove by an array of resilient cantilevered fingers.
CONSTITUTION: A suture package has a base 10, a top 20 and a cover 50, and the base 10 and the top 20 are joined together, and constitute a tray of a suture having plural needles. An inner wall part 14 of the base 10 and an inner wall part 22 of the top 20 constitute an inner wall (vertical surface), and constitute an outer peripheral groove 16 to hold the suture together with an outer wall 12, and cantilevered fingers 24 extend over almost all parts of the groove 16, and prevent the suture from lifting up out of the groove 16. An end part of the suture is taken outside from the groove 16 by a gap 26 in an array of the cantilevered fingers 24. Parallel walls 30 and 32 on a flat area 28 have gap rows separate at regular intervals, and a pair of adjacent gaps constitute a park to hold needles 2.
