Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce number of times of strobo flash by implementing correction processing with an optimum coefficient decided based on a video signal level (photometry information level) so as to attain exposure control with high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: When preliminary flash for photometry is implemented for lots of number of times, the level is converged to a proper exposure level but the capacitance of a main capacitor has a limit, required power for strobo flash cannot be obtained at the actual photographing so long as the photometry flash is not decreased. In order to set a video signal to an object proper level, the strobo flash luminous quantity is decided so as to correct a difference between photometry information M obtained by preliminary flash and an object proper level to attain dimmering. In order to correct the level of the photometry information M to the proper level, when the predetermined correction allowable range is set, a multiplier section 6 multiplies a prescribed coefficient G with picture data stored in the picture memory 5 and the video signal to be sent to a digital process section 7 is set to the optimum level.
