Title:
MULTIBAND AUTOMATIC TRACKING ANTENNA
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1051231
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To simplify the circuit constitution for a tracking system and also to track the horizontal, vertical, CM and CCW polarized radio waves by preparing a main track primary radiating element, having its feeding part set at the focal point of a parabolic reflector and the linearly polarized multiband horn antermas which are placed at the vertical and horizontal positions of the radiating element.

A multiband automatic tracking anterma consists of a parabolic reflector 1, a feeding part 2 and a stay 3 which fixes the part 2 to the reflector 1. The part 2 includes a main track primary radiating element 4 which is set at the focal point of the reflector 1, the linearly polarized multiband horn antennas 5, 6 and 7, etc., which are placed at the vertical and horizontal positions of the element 4 with their polarized surfaces tilted by 45° against the vertical direction for tracking, etc. The vertical antennas 5 and 6 detect the angles of elevation and depression respectively, and the horizontal antenna 7, etc., detect the right and left angles. Thus, the antennas 5 to 7 serve as the round linearly polarized wave horn antennas which can cope with multiple bands.
