Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002212446
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a pellet which rapidly disintegrates in an aqueous medium and has mechanical strength sufficient to withstand breakage during manufacturing, storage, conveying and handling.

A polyfunctional pellet assistant is provided which contains (a) 20-80 wt.% of one or more binders (at least one of them comprising an acrylic base polymer having a Tg of -20 to +95°C), (b) 0-40 wt.% of one or more inorganic solids, and (c) 10-80 wt.% of one or more organic solids, has a particle size of 100 to 3,000 μm, and, when mixed in an amount of 0.25-10 wt.% with two or more components and compressed, gives a pellet that is a solid having sufficient mechanical strength and that rapidly disintegrates when brought into contact with an aqueous system.
