This multifunctional system 10 is provided with a controller 24, an IIT(image input terminal) 26, an IOT(image output terminal) 28, and an optical distributor 16. In a print job, print data outputted from the controller 24 are converted into an optical signal, made incident on the optical distributor 16 and sent to an emission side IOT 28. The IOT 28 prints out received data on paper. In a copy job, copy data outputted from the IIT 26 is converted into an optical signal, emitted to the optical distributor 16, and sent to the emission side IOT 28. In a scan job, scan data outputted from a scanner 26 is converted into an optical signal, made incident on the optical distributor 16, and sent to an emission side controller 24. The controller 26 processes received data.
