PURPOSE: To provide a multilayer capacitor which hardly cracks at the time of baking process.
CONSTITUTION: A capacitor part 15 is formed by stacking dielectric sheets 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 where capacity electrodes 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are respectively provided on the surfaces. The dielectric sheets 1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 have a normal thickness t0 and the dielectric sheet 3 has a thickness t2 which is more than two times larger than the normal thickness. Therefore, the distance between the capacity electrodes 9 and 11 is long. However, the sum of the thicknesses d of insulation protection sheets 20 and 21 which are provided at the upper and lower parts of the capacitor part 15 and the thicknesses of the dielectric sheets 1-6 is equal to the sum of the thickness of the insulation protection sheet of a conventional multilayer capacitor and the thicknesses of the dielectric sheets.
