To provide a sound absorption material that has superior sound absorbency from a low-frequency to a high-frequency range, and also has lightweight properties.SOLUTION: A multilayer sound absorption material that is formed of a plurality of sound absorption layers made of nonwoven fabric includes a sound absorption layer A arranged on the side of a sound source and a sound absorption layer B arranged on the opposite side from the sound source, wherein the sound absorption layer A has a permeability of 5-100 cm3/cm2/s and a nonwoven fabric density of 0.01-0.1 g/cm3, and the sound absorption layer B has a larger permeability and a smaller nonwoven fabric density than the sound absorption layer A.SELECTED DRAWING: None
